Eria 'Sane' Nsubuga was
born in Uganda in 1979. He graduated
with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Fine Art from
Makerere University and in 2008 finished his Masters Degree
in Fine Arts at the same institution. Sane, as he likes
to be called, believes in 'experimentation both of material
and technique'. His powerful paintings and prints reflect
his world, a world of "small things people tend to
ignore, things we sometimes take for granted".
Eria
'Sane' Nsubuga's work has been displayed in Africa, Europe,
Japan and the United States and is currently among the
most promissing new artists of the african continent.
Through our gallery, Eria was selected to participate
in the "VII International Engraving Bienale"
in Versailles, France in 2007.
