Kevin Kariuki was born
in 1977 at Ngara, Nairobi, Kenya. He has been dedicating
himself exclusively to art since he attended a print workshop
which made him realize printmaking was "his"
technique.
Kevin likes to experiment.
From wood or linoleum to cardboard, sixply (his favorite)
or plexiglass, Kevin Kariuki expresses his talent brilliantly
whether on paper or canvas.
In
June 2005 he was invited to conduct a workshop in ST.
ANDREWS Turi ACADEMY in Nakuru and will be present in
the "VIth international Engraving Biennial"
in Versailles, France in 2007.
Besides being an artist,
Kevin Kariuki is also a founder member of the TASWIRA
group. This group, formed in late 2003 aims at reviving
visual arts in Kenya and encouraging young artists to
pursue it as a career.
